From First Message to Pick-Up
Booking a minibus with a driver takes three steps on your side: tell us the plan, read the quote, say yes. The rest is ours and the operator's, and here is what happens in between.
1. Send us the outline
The date, the number of passengers, where you start and finish, and the stops you have in mind. Add the things that change the vehicle: suitcases for an airport run, a wheelchair user, small children, or a party where most travellers are under 16.
Children under 16 matter because Spain treats a trip as school and child transport when three quarters of the passengers are that young. Then an adult besides the driver must be on board, the vehicle may be no more than 16 years old and it shows the V-10 sign.
2. We match and price it
We pick a partner operator with a vehicle that suits your number and your route, and the trip comes back as one quote for the whole vehicle. It names the vehicle size, the pick-up and finishing points and the timings, so you can see what is included before you decide.
3. You confirm, and the details settle
Once you accept, the operator confirms the vehicle and your meeting points. Some stops need booking of their own. In Barcelona, the Zona Bus stops at the Sagrada Família and Park Güell open for booking a month ahead and last 10 minutes. At the Alhambra, the time printed for the Nasrid Palaces is fixed, and the day is built around it.
At airports the meeting point depends on the terminal. In Madrid, group coaches use the T4 bus terminal or the T1 bus park, never the arrivals kerb, and the operator tells you exactly where your vehicle will be.
4. The day itself
Your driver arrives at the agreed place, and seat belts are worn wherever they are fitted. On longer days the driver takes a 45-minute break after four and a half hours at the wheel, which usually falls neatly at lunch.
What travellers ask us
How far ahead should we ask?
As early as you can for March and April in Valencia and Seville, and for summer weekends on the coast. For an ordinary weekday, a few weeks is often enough.
Can we change the stops after booking?
Usually, yes. Tell us, and we check the new plan with the operator, especially if it adds driving time or a city with its own access rules.
Is a car with driver booked the same way?
Yes, and it must be. In Spain a car with driver (VTC) may only carry passengers on a service booked in advance, never one hailed on the street.
Ready for step one?
