Barcelona and Montserrat by Minibus
Barcelona has a clear system for group vehicles, and it applies to minibuses too. Once the stops are booked, a driver can take your group from Gaudí's basilica to the Barri Gòtic and up to Montserrat with very little waiting in between.
Zona Bus covers minibuses as well
From nine seats upwards, counting the one behind the wheel, so most minibuses are covered: without a Zona Bus permit, a vehicle may neither park nor load passengers in the marked spaces. Each day permit is tied to a single number plate and a single date.
The busiest spots are special areas, reserved in advance: Gaudí's basilica and his park, La Pedrera, the Font Màgica, Sant Pau, Drassanes, Ciutat Vella and the Port Olímpic. You can reserve exactly a month ahead, and a stop is a ten-minute window. Give the operator your visit times early so the slots match your tickets.

Gaudí with a small group
At the basilica, a group ticket covers as many as 30 visitors and comes with a separate entrance and headsets. If you are nine or fewer, simply buy individual tickets. School groups have their own educational visits.
At Park Güell, vehicles wait on a logistics platform with about twenty spaces, entered only on the day and at the hour of your visit. Reserving that space needs the reference from your park tickets, which is why those come first.

Out of the city
Montserrat is about 60 km away, around 1 h 15 min. The road climbs to the monastery, and some groups leave the minibus below and ride up on the Cremallera from Monistrol or the Aeri cable car instead. Sitges is under an hour, and the cava cellars of Sant Sadurní d'Anoia are about 55 minutes away. Girona and Figueres, for the Dalí museum, each fill most of a day.
What travellers ask us
Is there a special pick-up area for minibuses at the airport?
At Terminal 1, Aena lists coach areas on the arrivals level (level 0) and a separate area on that level for private-hire minibuses. Terminal 2 has bays at T2A and T2C. Terminal 1 is about 30 minutes from Plaça de Catalunya.
Our minibus is registered in France. Can it enter the city?
Only after it has been entered in the AMB register of foreign vehicles, which can take up to 15 working days. Register well before the trip; the low-emission zone inside the Rondes applies on weekdays from 07:00 to 20:00.
Can a wheelchair user be dropped near the main sights?
Adapted vehicles have reserved spaces at the Sagrada Família, Trafalgar, Ciutadella and La Pedrera. Ask for a wheelchair-accessible minibus when you book.
