Jerez Airport: Sherry Country and the Old Town of Cádiz
Jerez is the small airport for the Bay of Cádiz and the sherry towns. It has a single terminal and its own park for group vehicles beside the terminal, so meeting a minibus takes very little effort.
The coach park
Group vehicles have a dedicated park beside the terminal, entered from the Arrivals level and looked after by management and security staff. A first spell is free and longer stays are charged, so drivers time their arrival to your flight. The operator tells you whether you meet in the hall or beside the vehicle.

Two towns to choose from
Jerez's Plaza del Arenal lies some 14 km off, roughly 25 minutes; the cathedral in Cádiz is about 44 km, close to 55 minutes. Cádiz's old town has a low-emission zone in its trial period until about late November 2026. From 2027 non-local vehicles need an ECO or zero-emission label, and how it treats private-hire coaches was not confirmed, so the operator checks access for your vehicle and the nearest stop to your hotel.
On race weekends at the Circuito de Jerez, roads and hotels around the town fill up. If your dates match a championship weekend, book as early as you can.

Worth knowing at Jerez Airport
- Bus line M-050 (Bahía de Cádiz transport consortium) links the airport directly with Jerez de la Frontera and Cádiz every day.
- The airport has a railway station on Cercanías line C-1: about 9 minutes to Jerez de la Frontera, 19 minutes to El Puerto de Santa María, 38 minutes to San Fernando and 57 minutes to Cádiz. Regional (Media Distancia) trains between Sevilla and Cádiz also stop there several times a day.
- The airport is in the municipality of Jerez de la Frontera, about 8 km north-east of the city.
A wine country welcome
Small groups come here for the bodegas. From Cádiz, El Puerto de Santa María is about 21 km and Sanlúcar de Barrameda, home of manzanilla, about 51 km. In Jerez itself, the Real Escuela Andaluza del Arte Ecuestre makes a fine first morning.
What travellers ask us
Is there a train from the airport?
Yes, Jerez is unusual in having one. Cercanías line C-1 stops at the airport and reaches Jerez in about 9 minutes and Cádiz in about 57.
Is Seville airport an alternative?
It is about 132 km from Cádiz, roughly 2 hours, against about 55 minutes from Jerez. If your flight times are better there, a minibus can still meet you.
Can we be taken straight to the beach towns?
Yes. From Cádiz, Vejer de la Frontera is about 57 km and Tarifa about 105 km. Give us the hotel and the operator plans the route.
We have a wedding at a bodega near Jerez. Can guests be shuttled?
Yes. One or two minibuses can carry guests between the hotel, the ceremony and the bodega, and back again late at night. Send the addresses and times, and say how many guests need help with steps.
