Arriving in Seville by Air, Leaving by Minibus
Seville's airport is compact and close to town, about 10 km out by Aena's figure. It also has something many Spanish airports lack: a proper park for group vehicles, which makes the meeting simple.
The coach park and your driver
The tourist-coach park has 20 spaces and lies about 200 m from the terminal, a short walk with bags. It is open around the clock, watched by cameras, with a staffed pay window; charges apply there. Your driver can wait in it while you clear arrivals, and the operator tells you whether you meet inside the hall or at the vehicle.

The old town on foot
Reaching the Cathedral means about 11 km of road, some 25 minutes in light traffic. Several streets of the old town are closed to general traffic, and the Barrio de Santa Cruz is a maze best done on foot, so no official list of set-down points exists; the operator confirms where your minibus stops for the hotel. Since 2024 the Isla de la Cartuja has had a low-emission zone on working days.
If your trip falls in spring 2027, check the calendar. Holy Week runs from 21 to 28 March, and the April Fair from 13 to 18 April, with the lighting-up on the 12th. Both close large parts of the centre, so hotel transfers on those days take longer.
The terminals in brief
- One passenger terminal
Worth knowing at Seville Airport
- Córdoba (the Mezquita) is about 130 km by road, about 1 h 50 min by coach in light traffic.
- There is no railway station at the airport.
- The city bus line EA (Especial Aeropuerto) links the airport with the city centre.
- Aena places the airport about 10 km from the city.
Córdoba without changing vehicle
Some groups fly into Seville and go straight to Córdoba. From the airport to the Mezquita is about 130 km, close to 1 h 50 min. Only microbuses may use the streets around it, so larger vehicles stop further out and the group walks the last stretch.
What travellers ask us
Is there a train from Seville airport?
No, there is no railway station at the airport. City bus EA, the Especial Aeropuerto, runs into the centre, which suits travellers with light bags.
What can we see on a half day after landing?
Itálica, the Roman site at Santiponce, is about 10 km from the centre, and Carmona about 37 km. Either fits an afternoon, leaving the Alcázar and the Cathedral, both booked ahead for groups, for the next day.
Can we be dropped at our hotel during Holy Week?
Often not at the door. The operator checks the closures for your dates and picks the nearest open street, so pack wheeled cases and allow a short walk.
