Coach Rental Across Spain

Marbella and Ronda, with Your Own Driver

On the Costa del Sol a minibus earns its keep twice over: on the airport run with everyone's luggage, and on the evenings when the group wants dinner in Puerto Banús without anyone having to drive home afterwards.

From Málaga airport to the coast

Málaga airport is about 51 km from the Plaza de los Naranjos, about 50 minutes along the coast motorway in light traffic. Aena publishes no pick-up point for group vehicles there, so the meeting place is agreed with the operator when you book. Guests often stay in different places, on the Golden Mile, in Nueva Andalucía, in San Pedro Alcántara or at a golf resort, and a minibus can gather them up in one loop for a wedding or a celebration dinner.

Old town, promenade and marina

The whitewashed Casco Antiguo around the orange trees of the Plaza de los Naranjos is pedestrian, and the seafront promenade leads to the Avenida del Mar and its Dalí sculptures. Puerto Banús is about 8 km west, roughly 15 minutes. No official set-down points were found in Marbella or at the marina, so the operator confirms a stop when you book and the driver comes back at the time you agree.

Low-emission zones are marked in the old towns of Marbella and San Pedro, but as last reported the city was not enforcing them while it finalised its ordinance. The operator checks the position before your stay.

Arriving on a cruise ship

Ronda, Setenil and further inland

Ronda, on its gorge with the Puente Nuevo and one of Spain's oldest bullrings, is about 58 km away, but the A-397 is a winding mountain road and takes about an hour and a half. As last reported, coaches park at the Recinto Ferial "Ángel Harillo" in a morning or an afternoon slot, so the driver checks the arrangement when booking. Setenil de las Bodegas, built into its rock overhangs, fits on the same day.

Closer to the coast, Mijas Pueblo and Estepona are each about 40 minutes away, and the Gibraltar border at La Línea about 1 h 15 min. Antequera's dolmens take about an hour and a half, Nerja a little under two.

What travellers ask us

Is Granada possible as a day trip?

Only as a long one. The Alhambra is about 182 km away, roughly 2 h 45 min each way, and a driver may drive at most 9 hours a day with a 45-minute break after four and a half, so the timing around your Nasrid Palaces slot matters. An overnight stay is the gentler choice.

We arrive on a cruise into Málaga. Can we spend the day in Marbella?

Yes. The town is about 61 km from central Málaga, so the driver collects you at the port, and you can add Puerto Banús before heading back to the ship.

How many guests fit in one minibus?

A minibus carries 9 to 16 passengers besides the driver. For larger wedding parties a midi-coach seats about 29 to 35, or the operator can send two minibuses to different hotels.
