Team Days Out, with Someone Else at the Wheel
A company outing goes best when nobody on the team has to think about transport. A minibus or midi-coach with a driver collects everyone at the hotel, waits while you visit, and has you back in time for dinner.
A size for every team
A minibus seats 9 to 16 passengers, and a Sprinter-style minibus adds an executive finish when clients are on board. For a whole department and its bags, a midi-coach with roughly thirty seats does the job, and bigger teams can split across two vehicles so part of the group can head back early.
In Spain a group hire is contracted for the whole vehicle, so the seats are yours for the day whether or not the team fills them.

Where the afternoon usually goes
Teams in town for IFEMA in Madrid, the Fira in Barcelona, Feria Valencia or FYCMA in Málaga often add an outing once the sessions close. Madrid groups like Chinchón or Alcalá de Henares, each an hour or less away. Barcelona teams head for the cava cellars of Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, about 46 km out, and a Bilbao office can reach Haro in Rioja in about 1 h 20 min.
Old towns are where a small vehicle earns its keep: Granada's Albaicín, for one, is a restricted area of narrow lanes where only a small vehicle with an access permit gets close.
Rules worth knowing first
- A coach driver must take a break of at least 45 minutes after no more than 4.5 hours of driving; it may be split into 15 minutes followed by 30 minutes
- A tachograph records driving, breaks and rest on vehicles built for more than nine people including the driver
Built around the driver's day
A driver may drive for up to nine hours a day, or ten on two days a week, and must stop for 45 minutes after four and a half hours behind the wheel. The break can be split into 15 and then 30 minutes, which suits a long lunch.
Overnight, the driver needs eleven hours of rest; it can shrink to nine, but only three times between weekly rests. If dinner runs late and the next morning starts early, the quote shows whether a second driver is needed.
What travellers ask us
Can the vehicle wait while we are at a venue?
Yes. The hire covers the whole vehicle for the booked time and the driver stays with it. Where it can park near the venue depends on local rules, so the operator agrees the spot.
Can senior guests travel separately?
Yes. A car with driver for one to three people can follow the minibus or meet the group at the venue. Like every car with driver in Spain, it is booked in advance.
What do you need for a quote?
The date, the pick-up and drop-off points, rough timings and the number of people.
