Coach Rental Across Spain

Wedding Transport for the Guests and the Couple

At a Spanish wedding the ceremony, the photographs and the banquet are often in three different places, and the party runs late. A minibus or two for the guests and a car with driver for the couple keep everyone together, with nobody stuck behind the wheel.

A car for the two of you

In Spain a car with driver is a VTC, with at most nine seats including the driver. It runs only pre-booked services, so each pick-up time and place is set in the booking. It may not wait about to collect passengers who are not on that booking, so decide in advance who rides with the couple.

Moving the guests

Guest transport by minibus, midi-coach or coach is hired for the whole vehicle. A typical plan is a loop from two or three hotels to the church or town hall, on to the venue, then back after midnight. Country estates often sit well outside town down narrow lanes, so share the address early; the access road can decide between a minibus and a coach.

Belts are worn wherever fitted, even in the smartest outfits. For late finishes, remember that a driver needs at least 11 hours of rest before the next working day, which matters if guests also want an airport run the following morning.

Rules worth knowing first

  • A VTC car has at most 9 seats including the driver; a larger vehicle counts as a bus and is run under a bus authorisation

Weddings in the old town

Historic centres are hard on big vehicles. In Toledo, coaches stop only at three set places, but those taking guests to a wedding or to an old-town hotel are exempt from the coach charge when they cannot reach the door, provided the exemption is requested beforehand.

In Marbella the old town around the Plaza de los Naranjos is pedestrian, so guests walk the last few minutes. In Sevilla, Málaga and central Palma no official coach set-down points were found, and the operator agrees the stopping place with you.

What travellers ask us

Can the minibus wait during the banquet?

Yes, for the booked hours. A very long day may need a second driver because of the rest rules, and the quote says so.

How many guests fit in each vehicle?

A minibus takes up to 16 passengers plus the driver, a midi-coach 29 to 35 and a full coach 49 to 57. A wedding of 80 often works with one coach and one minibus.

Can guests be dropped at different hotels?

Yes. Send the list of hotels and the return is planned as a loop, with the order of stops written into the booking.
