Valencia by Minibus from the Cruise Quay

Valencia's cruise terminal sits at the end of the port nearest the city, outside the busy commercial docks. For relatives travelling together or a club on tour, that means a short, simple run to the old town, the beach or the lagoon.

A compact terminal

Two berths serve cruise ships in 2026: the Muelle de Poniente and the Muelle Transversal, lying next to the passenger terminal at the port's northern entrance. They take ships shorter than 300 m, and the area around them is open to the public.

Main access roads are close by, which is why excursion vehicles get away quickly. No official set-down plan was found for the port, so the operator confirms where your driver waits.

Recheck the day before

Cruise call dates are confirmed by the port authority just one day ahead of arrival. Look at your schedule again the evening before and let the operator know of any change.

Count on some 20 minutes, about 8 km, to reach the Plaza del Ayuntamiento. Traffic is restricted in Ciutat Vella, which means a drop-off on its fringe. Nor has Valencia's low-emission rule for coaches been verified, another point for the operator to settle.

Cruise terminals and quays

  • The berths take ships under 300 m long; the terminal is at the northern entrance of the port, the part closest to the city, in a freely accessible area
  • Two cruise berths in 2026, the Muelle Transversal and the Muelle de Poniente, both next to the port's passenger terminal

The lagoon, Sagunto and wine country

From the city centre, El Palmar on the Albufera lagoon is only about 15 minutes away, an easy half day. Sagunto takes about 35 minutes; Xàtiva about an hour.

For wine lovers, Requena in the Utiel-Requena area is roughly 1 h 5 min. A March call may coincide with the Fallas, when much of the centre shuts to traffic, so plan it with extra care.
